Mr. T turns 6.

Photobucket

The middle man in our house turned 6 today.

He has been begging for his birthday to be "today" for at least a month. (Driving me crazy towards the end.)
But when he woke up today, it was like he couldn't handle the excitement and he had a really rough morning...

But things got better throughout the day. We went to Wendy's for lunch (his choice) and got to eat INSIDE the restaurant. Which was torture for me, but pure bliss for the littles. Then we went "shopping" at Target with my mom. She takes the big kids shopping for their birthdays so that they can pick out their own gift each year. They LOVE it.
Mr. T picked a light saber. (SHOCKING, I know.)

He was in heaven. We got him a Rebel Soldier Blaster. It was Star Wars all day long. Nothing new there, except for the weapons.

This evening I made sure that he posed for a few pictures. We had to include the light saber in quite a few of them. He held it the entire time, and sometimes I'd just crop it out, but most of the time I had to include it...it's SO HIM at 6. ;)

He requested Mac N Cheese for his dinner. With sprinkles. (from his cake)
And Chocolate Cake with Chocolate Frosting.
And cookies and cream ice cream.

We played outside after dinner and then the kids watched a movie while we watched The Office season finale. IT ROCKED.

And that was my day.
Making a little boy happy was the highlight.

Happiness Today:

  • getting more mascara to replace the AWFUL waterproof stuff I bought by accident before our trip
  • wearing my favorite jeans and feeling skinny
  • watching The Office finale for a whole HOUR with good friends
  • getting mauled with affection by Gigantor
  • eating yummy chocolate birthday cake
  • enjoying the cool evening air with my family in the front yard
  • Sweet G taking pictures of everything in sight while we were outside and then having her tell me that she wants to be a photographer when she grows up "just like her mama"
  • DH cleaning up the kitchen~ what a sweetie
  • the gorgeous sky this afternoon: one direction storm clouds, the other blue skies with beautiful cotton ball clouds
  • seeing Super Cool Mom, Crazy Mama and Michelle this afternoon for a few minutes
It really was a great day!

The picture Mr. T has brought tears to my eyes. His eyes are so beautiful, and blue. The freckles on his nose make such a statement of being a little boy. Then I started thinking about our talks about him. The love you have for him. Etc. This is one lucky boy, and you are one lucky Mama. I am so happy he had a Happy Birthday! I love his food choice! I was so happy to see you today too! It was such a nice suprise when you walked in! Love you! Michelle

I've got an almost 6 year old Star Wars fan too. If we ever meet, these two would probably hit it off!

Loved The Office this week! I watched it twice. Loved you happiness list - again! I really should do that. That is an adorable pic of Mr. T. We love Star Wars at our house, too.
